Biography

Suganthi Kandasamy, D.P.M., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general orthopaedics, foot and ankle conditions, and diabetic foot pathologies.

Dr. Kandasamy earned her doctoral degree in podiatric medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed a four-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery and in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York, where she served as Chief Resident for two years. She also holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology from Columbia University.

Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Kandasamy is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
