Michael Huo, M.D., specializes in total hip and total knee replacement surgeries. In particular, he has extensive experience in revision surgeries for failed hip and knee replacements. Dr. Huo’s extensive research has resulted in more than 120 journal articles, nearly 20 book chapters, and numerous lectures and instructional courses.

Meet Dr. Jay P. Shah

Jay P. Shah, M.D., specializes in sports injuries, ACL reconstruction, and other complex issues of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Shah has trained under world-renowned sports surgeons and served as an assistant team physician for four of Houston’s major league teams – the Texans (NFL), Rockets (NBA), Astros (MLB), and Dynamo (MLS).

Dr. Richard Samade

Meet Dr. Richard Samade

Richard Samade, M.D., Ph.D., specializes in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. A prolific lecturer and presenter, Dr. Samade has published numerous academic articles related to his areas of expertise, including pediatric and adult upper extremity trauma, quality improvement in hand surgery, basic science processes in bone healing and remodeling, hand and wrist arthritis, and arthroplasty.

David Tietze, M.D., is one of the few sports medicine physicians who practices regenerative medicine as well as offering more traditional sports medicine treatments, which he customizes to each patient’s needs.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To make the most of your time with the doctor, prepare a list of questions ahead of time and bring it to your appointment.

On the day of the appointment, please arrive 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and registration. We do our best to see patients at their scheduled appointment time. 

Please bring the following items:

  • Current insurance card
  • Method of payment (debit/credit card or check only)
  • Current medications
  • Completed paperwork, if you received forms before the visit
  • Personal identification

To facilitate ongoing communication, we recommend patients sign up with MyChart, which allows patients to communicate directly with doctors, request prescription refills, update contact information, view test results, and request clinic appointments. Sign in or sign up for MyChart.

Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the center at least 48 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.

Prescriptions and Refills

It is very important that you do not run out of your medication. Be sure that you have sufficient refills to last until your next appointment with your provider. We are happy to provide you with a written prescription upon request.

If you run out of refills, please call your pharmacy and your pharmacist will fax a refill request to us. Please allow us 24 to 48 hours to process refill requests.
