UT Southwestern Medical Center's pathology team provides laboratory services in a variety of outpatient settings.

To best serve your needs, we have multiple locations in Dallas, Park Cities, Richardson/Plano, and Fort Worth.

What to Expect

Physicians may order a lab test as part of a patient's diagnosis or treatment. In the days leading up to a lab test, patients may be required to follow specific instructions, such as fasting or avoiding medications. Please talk to the physician or nurse to find out how to prepare for the test.

At our laboratory service centers, the specimen will be collected by our experienced laboratory and phlebotomy team.

Laboratory results can be accessed through MyChart. The patient's physician will follow up with to discuss next steps.
