Biography
Anthony Nguyen, O.D., is a Faculty Associate in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in primary ocular care, medical cornea care, and medical glaucoma care.
Dr. Nguyen earned his optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed a residency in primary eye care and ocular disease at the BronxCare Health System in New York and subsequently obtained board certification from the American Board of Optometry.
He served as a Faculty Instructor at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai as from 2021 to 2023. He then joined the UT Southwestern medical system as an Associate Faculty Member in 2023. Dr. Nguyen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
Personal Note
When he’s not at work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing tennis, traveling, cooking and exploring different cuisines, and spending time with his wife and dog.
