Biography
Anton Kharoufeh, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, with a strong focus on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic-assisted procedures. His surgical practice emphasizes the treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, and other benign gynecologic conditions.
Dr. Kharoufeh earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024 and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kharoufeh is actively involved in medical education and has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and patient care. He has delivered academic presentations and contributed to scholarly publications in obstetrics and gynecology.
Personal Note
Dr. Kharoufeh speaks Spanish fluently and has successfully completed the Interpreter Readiness Assessment. He also speaks conversational Arabic.
Outside of work, he enjoys reading, cooking, running, and cycling. He and his wife, Shannon, enjoy exploring the Dallas–Fort Worth area together, as well as relaxing at home watching movies with their cat, Joey. He also enjoys trivia competitions and admits to having a bit of a competitive streak.
