Biography

Anton Kharoufeh, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in comprehensive care in obstetrics and gynecology and has a special interest in gynecologic surgery, including robotic surgery, urinary incontinence, and pelvic floor procedures.

Dr. Kharoufeh earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Kharoufeh is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

His clinical interests include obstetrics, including both low- and high-risk pregnancies. He has delivered numerous presentations and published academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

Personal Note

Dr. Kharoufeh speaks Spanish fluently and successfully completed the Interpreter Readiness Assessment. He also speaks conversational Arabic.

When he’s not at work, he enjoys reading, cooking, running, and cycling. He adds, “I also really enjoy trivia night competitions and have been known to get a little competitive.”
