Biography

Arpita Beechar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in rheumatologic autoimmune diseases and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Dr. Beechar earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her residency in internal medicine at UTHealth Houston’s Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and LBJ Hospital, where she also gained advanced training through a rheumatology fellowship. She also served there as Chief Fellow.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Beechar is a member of the American College of Rheumatology. In addition to her areas of clinical expertise, she has a strong interest in medical education.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Beechar enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
