Biography

Mohammed Al-Obaidi, D.M.D., M.D., is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in craniomaxillofacial trauma, temporomandibular joint surgery, and dentoalveolar and dental implant surgery.

Dr. Al-Obaidi earned his dental degree at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Al-Obaidi joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.

Dr. Al-Obaidi is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Iraqi Medical Sciences Association, and the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He co-authored a chapter of the third edition of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Al-Obaidi enjoys traveling, dining, working out, and spending time with his family and friends.
