Biography
Priya Balakrishnan, M.P.A.S., PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wichita State University in 2011 and has practiced exclusively in urology since then.
Ms. Balakrishnan provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of genitourinary conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, benign prostatic hyperplasia, elevated PSA, hematuria, and genitourinary cancers. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Urological Association. Her clinical approach emphasizes compassion, patient education, and shared decision-making. She is known for building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and for guiding them through complex diagnoses and treatment options with clarity and empathy.
Outside her clinical practice, Ms. Balakrishnan volunteers at local health and yoga events. She is passionate about community service and enjoys promoting preventive health, wellness, and patient education.
