Biography

Reynaldo Sanchez, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in preventive cardiology, general cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Sanchez earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago. He completed a residency in internal medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and received advanced training through a general cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Sanchez is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the American Society for Preventive Cardiology.

In addition to his areas of clinical focus, Dr. Sanchez is passionate about LGBTQ+ and culturally competent inclusive health care, community engagement and health care mentoring, and promoting healthy living through exercise.

In 2023, he earned the American Heart Association’s Laennec Fellow in Training Clinician Award.

Personal Note

When he is not at work, Dr. Sanchez enjoys traveling and working out.
