Biography

Scott Nodzo, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement surgery, robotic-assisted partial knee replacement surgery, augmented reality-assisted hip and knee replacement surgery, and revision hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Nodzo earned his medical degree at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he also completed a residency in orthopedic surgery. He received advanced training through an adult reconstruction and joint replacement fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Dr. Nodzo is a Fellow of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, for which he serves on the Adult Reconstruction Knee Program Committee and previously served on the Device, Biologics, and Technology Committee. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member and reviewer for The Journal of Arthroplasty.

Dr. Nodzo has delivered podium and poster presentations, contributed to the books The Technique of Total Knee Arthroplasty and Operative Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery, and published numerous academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Nodzo enjoys playing golf, watching motorsports and F1 racing, working out, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
