General neurology is the starting point at UT Southwestern for patients without a neurological diagnosis or who have not yet seen a neurologist but believe they have a neurological condition.
Expertise in Evaluation and Diagnosis
UT Southwestern’s general neurologists have extensive experience in evaluating and diagnosing patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Sometimes, we treat patients in our General Neurology Clinic, and other times, we refer patients to one of our other specialty clinics.
What We Treat
Symptoms that bring patients to the General Neurology Clinic include:
- Nerve pain
- Carpel tunnel syndrome
- Double vision
One of our latest specialties is aerospace neurology. General Neurologist Dr. Alison Leston treats pilots who need Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clearance.
