The Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is a leader in its field, with numerous awards and recognition for excellence in research, education, patient care, and community service.
Our team serves patients at UT Southwestern, Parkland Hospital, the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Children's Health℠ Children's Medical Center Dallas. In total, our department is responsible for more than 80,000 patient visits each year, giving our team extensive experience with the full spectrum of dermatological conditions.

Research
Our team continuously conducts basic and clinical research, and several members of the faculty play major roles in national research organizations, such as the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the Dermatology Foundation, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Photomedicine Society. The department currently holds more than $2.5 million in annual research support.

Patient Care
