Biography

Turya Nair, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in family medicine. 

Dr. Nair earned her medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed a residency in family medicine at Loma Linda University and completed a fellowship in integrative medicine from the University of Arizona.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Nair joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2016.

Dr. Nair’s clinical focus includes the full spectrum of family medicine, including preventive medicine, care for chronic diseases, weight management, minor skin procedures, and women’s health procedures such as pap smears and contraception placement. She also brings knowledgeability and openness towards patients seeking to incorporate exercise, nutrition, mindfulness practices, herbal medicine, supplements, energy medicine, and other integrative medicine modalities into their care, and welcomes the opportunity to use an evidence-based approach that incorporates patients’ values and goals for their health.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
