We understand that insurance and health care costs can be complex and confusing. At UT Southwestern, we are committed to providing our patients with the information needed to make informed health care decisions and to minimize any surprises when it comes to paying for those services.

In compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, UT Southwestern has made publicly available a comprehensive list of our gross charges, negotiated rates, cash-discounted rates, and minimum and maximum negotiated rates for all services at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Zale Lipshy Pavilion, hospital-based clinics, and ambulatory-based clinics across the health system. This information does not necessarily represent what an insurance company will pay or what you will owe. Your final charges will be based on many factors, such as the time spent in surgery and recovery, specific equipment and supplies and/or implants used, additional tests required by the physician, and/or any special care or unexpected conditions or complications.

Prices are subject to change without notice and are updated annually.

(Please note, the Hospital Charge List file size is very large (770MB). It may take extra time for downloading.)

Your insurance benefits will ultimately determine the amount owed (including deductibles, copay, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums). To prepare for an upcoming health care visit and to secure an estimate, we encourage you to use the online Good Faith Estimates tool or contact a Patient Financial Advisor.

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) offers a consumer-friendly guide to understanding health care prices.

The Care Compare website tool allows consumers to find and compare doctors, hospitals, and other providers near you.
