Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center
Families Connected is a quarterly support program designed to help patients and their school-aged children adjust to the changes that occur when a parent has cancer, by helping them connect with other families.
Made possible by the Dwight Powell Children and Family Support Fund, each Families Connected event has a unique theme. All events include music therapy, arts and crafts, and pet therapy.
For more information on how you can support a child coping with a parent’s cancer diagnosis, visit our Dwight Powell Children and Family Support Fund page or contact Alex Huffman, Manager of Support Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or 214-645-2742.
We invite you and your school-age children to join our Support Services team for a night of connection and a movie on Saturday, July 30.
Each child will receive a new backpack and school supplies.
