Community Engagement

We want our outreach and research activities to serve your needs. So we promote two-way conversations and opportunities for engagement between Simmons and the community.

Simmons Town Halls

UT Southwestern's Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center wants to team up with you and other community members to learn about your interests and needs regarding...

  • Cancer prevention
  • Cancer treatment
  • Cancer survivorship
  • Cancer resources for patients and families

Your perspectives will help us improve our services and programs.

We’ve hosted recent town halls at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Red Bird Mall, McDonald YMCA, and UT Southwestern Frisco.

We're planning additional community conversations across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and we will host virtual events for those who are unable to join us in person.

If you’d like to host a town hall in your neighborhood, or if you want to share your opinions with us directly, please contact us at OfficeofCOEE@utsouthwestern.edu

Team Up Against Nicotine

Join Simmons Cancer Center, the Dallas Mavericks, and the mayors of Dallas and Fort Worth as we "Team Up Against Nicotine." Learn how to talk to your loved ones about vaping and smoking. Make a pledge to quit, or say you won’t start. Stay tuned for future neighborhood events.
