Translate utswmed.org into Another Language

At UT Southwestern Medical Center, we want information about health and our services to be available to as many people as possible. We’ve included Google Translate on utswmed.org to make our site accessible to people in a variety of languages.

We include Google Translate as part of our site for your convenience, but if you have a preferred translation tool, we encourage you to use it.

On a computer

In the upper left of each page, you’ll see buttons that say “Español” and “More Languages.” To translate to Spanish, click the “Español” button; for other languages, click “More Languages” and select from the options.

The page will reload and display in the language you’ve chosen.

If you don’t see the buttons, scroll to the top of the page and they should appear above the UT Southwestern Medical Center logo.

On a mobile device

Click “Menu” in the upper right of a page. Just above the “New Patient Appointment” button, you’ll see “Language.”

To translate to Spanish, click “Español”; for other languages, click “More Languages” and select from the options.

The page will reload and display in the language you’ve chosen.

Google Translate is a fast and convenient way to translate the text of our site into the language you prefer. It uses technology to make the translation, but those translations aren’t reviewed by people. Because of this, the translations may not be accurate.

If something doesn’t make sense, it could be an incorrect translation. Automated translations may also lack the nuance of cultural tone or be unclear. Please use the translations with caution and double check any information with your doctor.

Google Translate can’t change some elements of our site into another language, such as text in images and captions in videos.

Our teams may not always have translators available to process information in other languages. Completing forms in English helps us review your request quickly and ensures we can provide the right support with fewer delays.

Yes, we have translated our Epilepsia y Convulsiones into Spanish, and many forms are available in Spanish — all verified by a person.

UTSW Language Services provides interpretation and translation services at all main campus locations. In addition, Language Services supports all UT Southwestern remote locations with alternate resources such as onsite (in person), over-the-phone (OPI), and video remote interpretation (VRI/ Interpreter on Wheels) provided by Language Line Solutions.
