UT Southwestern Medical Center’s comprehensive nicotine cessation program is devoted to helping you or someone you care about quit smoking, other tobacco use, and vaping.

Our program is led by a physician and facilitators who are certified in nicotine cessation.

Program Highlights:

  • Appointments with a physician who can prescribe medicines and monitor your progress
  • One-on-one sessions with certified tobacco treatment specialists
  • Group support

We can help you stop any form of nicotine/tobacco use, including smoking, chewing, and vaping. Our program is held at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, Seay Biomedical Building, 2201 Inwood Road, 2nd Floor.

Breakthrough in mapping nicotine addiction

Researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center just made a big discovery that may one day help smokers kick the habit. They crystallized and determined the 3D structure of a microscopic protein that holds answers to how nicotine addiction occurs in the brain.
