From cardiac rehabilitation and home health care to interpreters and heart-healthy nutritional guidance, UT Southwestern Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of support services – including some that are specific to patients with heart disease and their families.
Heart Support Services
- Cardiac rehabilitation: Our cardiac rehabilitation specialists create customized plans that integrate proper nutrition, exercise, and, if necessary, nicotine cessation into patients’ lifestyles to improve their cardiovascular health.
- Clinical nutrition for heart health: Our clinical nutritionists help patients improve their cardiovascular health by identifying areas for dietary changes, planning realistic diets, and teaching them how to buy and cook healthier foods.
