Yetunde Awosemusi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Awosemusi earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she served as Academic Chief Resident and helped organize the learning and educational goals for her fellow residents.

She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Awosemusi has delivered a variety of presentations and published several academic articles. She also has extensive research experience in topics such as maternal obesity and the risk of preeclampsia, as well as techniques for improving breastfeeding initiation and continuation in underserved populations. Her research has been published at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine annual meeting.
